Education for shared society
The Ministry of Education’s Shared Living Forum brings together educators from throughout Israel – Jews and Arabs, from the periphery and the center, religious and secular, people with disabilities and people with different identities, in the aim of discussing challenges they meet in their daily work at the schools and develop methods to promote equality and shared social living on and outside campuses.
In the last few months, Doron Gallia joined the forum, leading workshops in Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed technique, which is based on an open and nonhierarchical discussion through theatrical tools. In the workshops, the forum members experienced a moving, honest, and brave process. They now invite the public to witness and participate in the practicum they conducted in the workshops, and meet the compassion and humanity beyond identity politics.
