Digital Landscape Music
A magical, immersive concert combining live music with giant digital projections.
Located at the heart of Istanbul, Nohlab studio consists of Candaş Şişman and Deniz Kader, who have been working together for over a decade. The two, whose works have been featured in prominent international festivals including Ars Electronica, BAM, and Signal, strive to create a holistic experience comprised of sound and visuals, and explore how they can integrate another layer in reality – one where digital reality responds to live elements as they are taking place. This has led them to develop the custom software called NOS, which allows digitally generated visual effects to interact with music in real time.
In Digital Landscape Music, Nohlab invites the audience to go on stage and sit back as they are engulfed by huge and dynamic projections that respond to piano music by Prokofiev, Ligeti, Cage and others, played live on stage by the pianist Udi Bonen.
An extraordinary show that offers the closest thing to dreaming while being awake.
The show can be watched sitting or lying on stage.
