Mah Omrot Einayich?: A formal opening event

A Musical Journey to the Songs of Shoshana Damari featuring Miri Mesika, Karolina, Shai Zabari, Ravid Kahalani and Echo&Tito (Israel)

We are proud to open the 55th Israel Festival in Jerusalem with a special salute to the iconic singer Shoshana Damari, “First Lady of Israeli Music,” whose songs form the soundtrack of our history, culture and identity.

Extraordinary leading stars Miri Mesika, Karolina, Shai Zabari, Ravid Kahalani and Echo&Tito, will present their personal interpretation of Damari’s beloved songs — classics by Israel’s best composers and lyricists, including Moshe Vilensky, Yaakov Orland, Nahum Vardi, and Ehud Manor — with new arrangements that meld their authentic sound with contemporary soul and groove.

By virtue of her music — a melting pot in and of itself — Damari bridged the gap between east and west, becoming everybody’s queen, imprinting her inexhaustible charisma and meticulous style on our national consciousness.  Backed by group of outstanding musicians, Miri Mesika, Karolina, Ravid Kahalani and Shai Zabari’s outstanding talents and vocals promise an inspiring, most memorable evening!
