For over a decade, a small sign on a fence surrounding an abandoned space at the end of Emek Refaim Street reads “The Yehuda Amichai neighborhood is established here.” A moment before the grove behind the fence disappears, the poet’s daughter, artist Emanuella Amichai, in collaboration with poet Maya Tevet Dayan and other guests, invites us to wander the site and imagine a transient neighborhood – not that of high-rise buildings but one of words, encounters, metaphors, and poetry. In this neighborhood they will host Gon Ben-Ari, Roni Kuban, and Prof. Rachel Elior for conversations about words and home, story and place.
